How to price a deep clean
Estimate the hours from the walkthrough, then price it like any job: your pay, self-employment tax, supplies, driving, a share of monthly costs and a buffer.
Self-employment tax is 15.3% on 92.35% of net earnings[1], and the IRS 2026 business mileage rate is 76¢ a mile from July 1, 2026.[2] The calculator includes both. If your state taxes cleaning, add sales tax on top.

Questions people ask
What is included in a deep cleaning?
Everything in a standard clean, plus baseboards, door frames, switch plates, vents, blinds, window sills, grout and caulk, cabinet fronts, and cleaning behind and under movable furniture.
How long does a deep clean take compared with a standard clean?
Usually much longer for the same home. Time it room by room on the walkthrough, and price the first visit separately from recurring visits.
